Integrated building engineering

Coordinated design and engineering — and the tools we built along the way.

HVAC, plumbing, and BIM coordination for AEC firms running real builds. The IBE Toolbox is the set of tools we built for ourselves to move faster — now opened up to anyone who'd rather not spend a thousand hours learning Revit and AI workflows.

The cost of bad coordination

What gets caught early stays out of the schedule.

$50K+

Coordination errors cost the average $1M project — caught on site, not on screen.

5–15%

Schedule loss on uncoordinated builds, eating margin and trust with the GC.

Hours

From sketch to permit-ready plan with the IBE Toolbox — not weeks.

What we do

Engineering services first. The tools we built along the way, second.

Coordinated design and engineering for AEC firms running real builds. The IBE Toolbox is our internal tooling, opened up. Custom integrations for clients who want our tooling adapted to their workflow.

Engineering Services

Fully coordinated HVAC, plumbing, and BIM scopes for AEC firms running real builds. Permit, for-construction, and fully-coordinated tiers — integrated build sets, not stacks of disconnected drawings.

  • BIM coordination & clash detection
  • Design estimating & cost validation
  • Revit-native deliverables

IBE Toolbox

The tools we built for ourselves to coordinate faster — now opened up. Sketch a floor plan, walk away with a 3D preview, framing plan, PDF set, and a Revit-ready bundle. Built for builders who want pro-grade outputs without becoming AI or Revit experts.

  • Floor Plan Builder — live today
  • Project Builder & PDF importer — coming
  • Same outputs we use on coordinated builds

Custom Integrations

Revit MCP plugins and project-specific automation, adapted to your workflow. Built by the same engineers who use these tools every day.

  • Revit MCP & plugin development
  • Submittal-to-family workflows
  • CONTAM modeling automation

Why it works

Outcomes our clients actually feel.

Built by engineers, not by SaaS bros

The same team that runs coordinated builds writes the tools. Every output is something we would put our seal on.

Catch clashes on screen, not on site

A coordinated 3D model means the steel guy and the duct guy already met — before either of them ordered material.

Faster schedules, fewer surprises

Up-front coordination compresses the back end of every job. RFIs drop. Change orders shrink.

Revit-ready, every time

Every export drops into Revit cleanly. Categories, levels, and naming match what your BIM team already expects.

Permit-ready outputs in hours

The Toolbox turns a sketch into a stamped-up plan set, framing layout, and Revit bundle — without the Revit learning curve.

Share in our process improvements

The Toolbox is the same internal tooling we built to speed up our own coordination. You get the efficiency gains without spending a thousand hours getting there.

Founder

Engineers first. Tool builders second.

IBE grew out of TRW Design — a small New Hampshire engineering firm running coordinated HVAC and plumbing scopes for AEC clients. The Toolbox started as our own internal tooling: the parts of coordination that should be automated, automated. We opened it up because good engineering shouldn't be locked behind a thousand hours of learning Revit and AI workflows.

We sit on the ASHRAE board and mentor the next generation of engineers through ACE Mentor of New Hampshire. Then we go back to the office and keep building.

Plan Well. Build Well.
